What are Graduate Assistantships?

Graduate Assistantships provide financial assistance for graduate students, allowing them to pursue a higher degree and apply knowledge and skills in a practical setting. Students not only gain valuable professional experience and participate in interesting course offerings, they are in a position to contribute significantly to their own intellectual development and the University as a whole.

Master’s level graduate students are required to take 6-9 credit hours (depending on program) each contracted semester and will receive tuition remission for those credits. Ph.D. level graduate students are required to take 6 credit hours each contracted semester and will receive tuition remission for those credits.
