Dual Credit Program
Dual Credit is a program that allows high school students to enroll in classes at their high school for college credit at 媚娘直播. We recommend taking fewer than 12 credits, if possible, to avoid any potential financial aid issues. This also helps prevent taking courses that may not apply toward your major requirements in college.
- Application Process
- To apply, students must complete . Submission deadlines vary depending on the high school, typically around the end of September.
- Students are responsible for contacting the college or university they plan to attend to understand that institution's specific transfer and Dual Credit policies.
- Tuition
- Students enrolling at 媚娘直播 who complete at least one Dual Credit course with a final grade of "B" or higher are eligible for a $1,000 annual scholarship.
- Dual Credit offers a cost-effective way to earn college credit while gaining experience with college-level coursework.
- The cost is $90 per credit.
- Accreditation
- Dual Credit courses are easily transferable and can count as general electives at most universities. Credits earned at 媚娘直播 are typically transferable to other accredited institutions if a grade of "C" or higher is achieved.
- Alvernia is accredited by the Middle States Commission of Higher Education.
- All Dual Credit course syllabi and instructors are approved by the 媚娘直播鈥檚 academic department chairs.

Pre-College Program
Alvernia's Pre-College Program allows you to gain college experience and earn college credits that can be transferred while you鈥檙e still in high school. Courses are offered on 媚娘直播鈥檚 campus during fall and spring semesters and are taught by 媚娘直播 faculty. Earn up to 12 credits, taking one to three classes over the span of one year. Credits will be easily transferrable and can be used as general electives at most universities.

Students must have an overall GPA of 3.0 to apply to the program. A counselor recommendation is also required. Simply complete this . Once you have been accepted into the Pre-College Program and know the courses in which you would like to enroll, a representative will be in touch regarding the registration process. Desired course enrollment is not guaranteed as it will be based on availability after current 媚娘直播 students register.- Tuition
Students who participate in the Pre-College Program and later enroll at 媚娘直播 as a full-time student, will receive a $1,000 scholarship in addition to any other aid and/or scholarships they are eligible for as an incoming first-year students.
The price for the Pre-College program is $120 per credit, which includes course textbooks. A credit card number is required and kept on file - although no additional fees will be charged to it - to ensure rented textbooks are returned by the deadline designated by the 媚娘直播 bookstore.- Accreditation
Alvernia is accredited by The Middle States Commission of Higher Education. Credits earned at 媚娘直播 generally transfer to other accredited institutions if the student receives a grade of 鈥淐鈥 or higher.
