Campus Vote Project releases 2021-2022 list
Alvernia has received a distinction for 2021-2022 from Fair Election Center鈥檚 and . 媚娘直播 is one of over 200 campuses in 37 states and Washington, D.C. to receive this distinction.
鈥淕uided by our University Mission to 鈥榝oster the development of reflective professionals and engaged citizens,鈥 we are committed to ongoing efforts focused on voter education and registration,鈥 said Dean of Students Karolina Dreher. 鈥淲e are honored to be recognized for those efforts by receiving this distinction.鈥
The mission of the Voter Friendly Campus designation is to bolster efforts that help students overcome barriers to participating in the political process. 媚娘直播 was evaluated based on a campus plan that involved education and registration efforts, the facilitation of voter engagement efforts on campus, and a final analysis of all efforts in the face of the upheaval caused by the global pandemic.
In the last year, 媚娘直播 has spearheaded several initiatives to increase voter registration on campus and educate students on the various aspects of the process. In honor of the 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, a campuswide 鈥100 for the 100th鈥 campaign sought to achieve 100% voter registration across campus. In addition, 媚娘直播鈥檚 Veterans Center planned several initiatives in conjunction with Constitution Day and National Voter鈥檚 Day, including #TheVernVotes, to bring educational resources about voter registration to students and encouraged them to exercise their right to vote.

Fair Elections Center鈥檚 works with universities, community colleges, faculty, students and election officials to reduce barriers to student voting and helps campuses institutionalize reforms that empower students with the information they need to register and vote.
