Bio-PA (3+2) Accelerated Track 

Alvernia’s five-year Bio-PA accelerated program allows students to earn a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Medical Science degree in just five years. This path is ideal for motivated students pursuing a career as a Physician Associate. 

• Three-Year Undergraduate Study: During the first three years, students complete foundational courses in biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and other sciences. This phase provides a strong academic base in biological sciences while preparing students for advanced healthcare training.
• Transition to Graduate Studies: In the program's fourth year, students transition into the first year of the Master’s program curriculum. This phase focuses on advanced medical coursework, clinical skills, and patient care. 
   

Traditional Post-Baccalaureate Track 

The traditional Master of Medical Science in Physician Associate Studies track is ideal for individuals who have already earned a bachelor's degree. The program spans 24 months and is structured into six semesters, including two summer terms. 

• Didactic Instruction: The initial three semesters focus on didactic instruction, covering foundational medical knowledge and clinical skills. Subjects like physical diagnosis, pharmacology, anatomy, and physiology are integrated into system-specific modules, such as cardiovascular, pulmonology, and neurology.
• Clinical Phase: The clinical phase lasts three semesters, during which students engage in hands-on patient care in various settings, such as family medicine, surgery, pediatrics, and emergency medicine.
   

State-of-the-art Facilities

PA students at ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥ benefit from facilities that enhance learning and practical skills. These include medical simulation labs, an Anatomy lab, an Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) assessment center, patient simulation rooms, clinical skills labs, and collaborative learning spaces.
