As an anchor institution, ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥, its programs, activities, and plans are of special interest to the public. It is important to present the University in a manner that is both accurate and consistent with the University’s mission. Therefore, it is the University’s responsibility to provide accurate and consistent information to avoid any misunderstanding, misinterpretation, or confusion. Employees, faculty, schools or departments that seek to generate external media coverage about a program, event or achievement must first contact the Office of Marketing and Communications.

The following policies set parameters to ensure that information published electronically is consistent with the same high standards as other forms of official institutional publications. All authors of digital content (whether institutional, departmental, organizational, individual, or on social media) will observe copyright regulations, all local, state, and federal laws, and ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥ policies and follow standards of design and content that benefit the public image of ÃÄÄïÖ±²¥. Content contributors in violation of any of these policies or responsibilities are subject to disciplinary action and deletion of corresponding accounts.
