The IRB consists of the following members who are appointed by the Provost:
- Chair: Oversees the functioning of the committee and provides feedback to investigators and the Provost as appropriate.
- The Institutional Review Board (IRB) membership is appointed by the Provost and is informed by requirements of the Office of Human Research Protections within the federal Department of Health and Human Services. Membership consists of six faculty representatives, at least one from each College and no more than two from any one College. At least two members must teach regularly in the Graduate Program. Additional members include a representative of the Office of Institutional Research and two Community members, one representing the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters and one from the Greater Reading area. One of the faculty representatives will be appointed Chair by the Provost.
- Qualified professionals may be asked to review applications and/or attend meetings for the purpose of providing knowledge in certain areas of expertise.
